What If's And Regrets Poem by Katheryn Foley

What If's And Regrets

Held up by these memories,
Haunting your thoughts and dreams,
With all the what if's racing through your mind,
If things had been different,
How will you survive?
Did you make the wrong choice?
It changed everyones lives,
Was it the wrong choice?
Maybe there's still time,

For everything to go back to good,
No more pain guilt or hate,
Only love could move mountains,
Just one chance a fate,
Perhaps fate by the on-flowing grace,
Shed upon you,
Could be testing you?

Stop. Breathe,
Turn away from these aweful thoughts,
Everything happens for a reason.
God makes no mistakes,
If you are part of his family,
He gives you no fantasy,
This was meant to be,
So don't worry and think easy,
Light as a feather no burden shall you bare,
This is a gift a treasure so rare.
