What Is Holy? Poem by Linda Hepner

What Is Holy?

Rating: 5.0

What is holy?
Life, death for the cause?
What good do we do
When dead?

Ants in a colony,
Busy without pause,
Fighting for what's true,
But dead.

Since I am free
To choose my own laws,
Old as hills yet new,
Why choose to be dead?

No one on earth can see
What lies within or was,
Interpreted askew,
Except we will be dead;
And what matters to me
Is loyalty, because
Love lies within its view;
Don't judge me when I'm dead.
