What is independence?
If you are not allowed to
speak in your own language,
If you are not able to earn
Livelihood on your own soil,
If you are not permitted to
move freely from one corner
to another within your village,
town, city, forest, road, river.
What is the use of independence?
If you are supplied with everything
in foreign language,
If you are leaving your mother land
to earn something to fillup your belly,
If you are forbidden to keep your mother
with you always.
Think a while, my dear friends,
And declare before all that
You are independent
And you are celebrating
Independent Day. Thanks.
