What is life?

What is life?
What colour is life?

Life is bright when you are born
Yellow like the sun

Life is wonderfully light

Life is pink.
Pink like roses
Smelling sweet
When you’re at age 3.

Life is white
Life is pure
When you’re at age 4.

Life is peach
Like a soft plum
Easy and clear like glass

For the first five years.

Blameless!

Then you’re six plus seven
Then you’re thirt-teen then life starts to get lean,
Green and mean.

Five years later, you are eight-teen

Now life is complicating.
Life is purple.
Now your all grown like a seedless grape.
Maroon.

Life is fun
Life is cruel.
Life is dark blue.

Eighty years later, you are a grey-headed baldy.
Or maybe you’re a white hearted purity

So enhance your life.
Add a little more colour to your mind
So that your life feels like life and not black or white.
