What Is Love? Poem by Leonardo Chara

Everyone seems to know, yet no one really knows;
Everyone is saying it, yet none quite well enough.
Though beautiful, it's surely not this flawless rose,
Or is it? I wonder...what is love?
Is it an intense feeling of affection?
Perhaps it's this state my heart is in-totally yours.
Cos to me you are simply PERFECTION.
Yet, i believe it transcends this 'lack of flaws'
So again i ask-what is love?
Does it mean together forever?
Good is good, the bad we'll surely resolve.
But surely we can't always be together.
What if we are on opposite sides of the earth?
I mean millions of miles apart.
NO touch, NO hug, NO kiss...Nothing!
Will these feelings still mean something?
What is love?
For this mystery must i solve.
Desperate and in misery; on my insticts will i rely;
So in the end i'll simply say...LOVE is YOU and I.
