What Is Love? Poem by Christine Daae

What Is Love?

Rating: 0.5

Love is fire
It’s a roaring flame
Which cools down to a warm glow
And when it dies out
The sparks can be used to restart again

Love is water
It cools aching hearts
It’s never truly uncomfortable
But it can dry up
And then it can rain down again

Love is air
It’s always there
It will never disappear
But if it does
Look around at everyone who’s loving

Love is earth
It knows when it’s needed
It nurtures hurt souls and protects damaged lives
And nothing can stop it
Because it’s what the Earth is

Love is fire
Because it melts cold hearts
Love is water
Because it cleanses tainted spirits
Love is air
Because it blows away the darkness
Love is earth
Because it’s never gone
Love is life
Because you can’t live without it
