What It All Comes Down To - Poem by Johannes Zettler

In the end
What is it good for?
What should I risk my life for?
What should I live for?
But myself!
The satisfaction
Of my own
Short, worthless
Little fucking piece of shit of life?
What difference does it make?
For anyone but me?

I don’t believe in eternity…
Mankind’s time is close to end.
Babylon’s gonna destroy itself
And take the whole world with down.

So in the end
What is it all good for?
What do we fight for?
What do we live for?
But ourselves!
The satisfaction
Of our own
Short, worthless
Little fucking pieces of shit of life?
What difference does it make?
For anyone but us?

So that when our last days come
We can say, we tried our best.
We lived the fight and we died for it
But in the end, Babylon could not be stopped.
