What Life Takes Poem by Jason Callender

What Life Takes

If you truely want success
you have to strive to be the best
put yourself to the test
number two is not an option
first understand you are the one
and there is no competition
even though i'm not in a race
i move at my own pace
no one can make me make
a mistake
i alone will take
my time
sleep is the friend of death
so until my last breath
i will do my best
up at six yes
to make some progress
put my mind to the test
continue down this lonely road
cause only i follow my code
like a samurai
i live a lonely life
studying to be the best
and pass every test
of the mind
commit every crime
until the world is mine
an outcast since the beginning of time
because i follow my mind
and question why
so i survive
with my weapon by myside
we ride
