What Love Is Not Poem by Ema Nekaf

What Love Is Not

Rating: 5.0

What is love? -It's just a word.
He said he loved you? That's absurd!
More likely what he feels is lust.
It will fade away and turn to dust.
He'll use you up and when he's done,
He'll be gone with the rise of the sun.

What is love? -It can't exist!
It's not possible to feel such bliss!
It's a word used to justify greed!
An excuse to fulfill a physical need!

What is love? -I wish I knew.
But unfortunately I have no clue.
But the ones who don't know are the ones who will fall.
Because the greatest loss is to never have loved at all.
