Lost Love Poem by Ema Nekaf

Lost Love

Rating: 5.0

He used to love me
But something had changed.
He wasn't happy with me anymore
It was all very strange.

He started to yell at me
I was getting a little scared.
Did I do something wrong
Of which I wasn't aware?

He looked like a monster
I never heard what he said
He had red glowing skin
And horns on his head.

I didn't feel when he hit me
My body was numb.
I hoped it was temporary
Effects from the rum.

When I saw the blood on his hands
It came as a surprise.
He must have been hitting harder
Than I realized.

'Was I holding this knife
The entire time? '
Then I looked down and realized
The blood was not mine.

'It's over'
Is that what he said?
Before I gave him that blow
In the back of the head?

'I'm in love with her'?
Before I took the knife
And put it through his heart
Taking his life?

Now I'm in a plush room.
The walls are very thick.
I'm in a straight jacket.
Now who drew the short stick?

Had you loved him... you could not do such a thing, taking his life! He loved you, maybe he got jealous and lost control that he hit you. Because you thought he was not happy with you anymore, you took his life for you do not want that he will love another. Sad but passionate poem about love! A 10.
