What Nomenclature Is This? Poem by Ajaegbu Charles

What Nomenclature Is This?

what nomenclature does it bear
the thump thunderbolt of avocado
Balkanizing hearts, minds and souls
thructhing carcass in assembled space
evolving farmland to graveland
leaving behind: sorrow, heartaches
tears, pain, regrets, blood?

what nomenclature is this apogee of evil
avocadoic-bomb-combustion
crushing metals and bodies into
smithereen
till, life no where in sight
just blood festoon the sands and streets
blood ooz fetidly on every corner:
schools, church, mosque, assemble, street?

what nomenclature is this feud
this prolong spitefullness
this destructive hostility
this malignant tumour
this dark christmas
this afreet taste for blood
killing, murdering, maiming, destroying?

what nomenclature goes with it?
the loss of conscience
the brutality of humanity
the laxity of morality
the exile of sanity
this bash of culture begets:
torture, anxiety, punishment, suffering?

what sought of nomenclature is this excessive power?
that besiege the unarmed
tearing the innocents to flee home
for frightens of homely horror
lo even the ancestors take to heel
behold the gods taste
no libation to wash them feet
or transmogrifying worship
home homeless to dark:
yearning, looking, waiting?

what nomenclature will be the end
if it ever ends?
will it ever end?
what nomenclature will it be?
WHAT NOMENCLATURE?
