What Really Happened The Day Steve Died. - Poem by Lance Carthen

There was a croc in heaven that God couldnt control.
He knew Steve Irwin could so he called for his soul.
Leaving behind millions, his family, his flock.
He hollered out CRIKEY! , when he saw the size of that croc.
He said holy smoke with a glitter in his eye.
She's a beauty God and reached for a pocket on his side.
Pulling out some white nylon rope.
He jumped on the crocs back and tied its mouth closed.
Flipping the croc over, he tied its legs together.
He threw the croc over his shoulder and started to walk forward.
God...he said with a tear in his eyes.
Dont ya think its a bit early for me to have died?
Steve, Steve, God said with a laugh.
You will never die because of the love that you have.
From all you taught, to the animals you raised.
To the lives you touched, to the lives you saved.
CRIKEY, Steve said, your quite right.
With these words THE CROCODILE HUNTER took a seat...by Gods side.
