What's It All About Poem by Rod Morris

What's It All About

What's It All About
Meeting and greeting, falling in love.
Caring and sharing with someone you love.
Babies and nappies, powder, warm milk.
Cheeky wee smiles, skin smooth as silk.
What's it all about
Growing and knowing your really a part
Of something real special; sharing your heart.
Brothers and sisters to play with each day
People to bond with, who always will stay.
What's it all about
Schooling no fooling, you have to learn
Deciding your future, how you will earn.
Exams and diplomas not easy to find
Now down to you, your wide open mind.
What's it all about
Commerce or trade, profession with skill
All in ones grasp if they have the will.
Whatever's decided its just your choice
You are the one who gave this plan voice.
What's it all about
Now the breadwinner, older and slimmer
Through ages of happiness, times a winner.
Family grown up, search for their dreams
Perhaps turn to you, revisit your schemes.
What's it all about
Retirement and travel, new places to play
The bonus, home is just a few clicks away.
Faces you've seen, people you've met
Deep-rooted memories you'll never forget.
What's it all about
When its all over for your peace of mind
Journey now ending has treated you kind.
Whatever your faith or your confusion
Perhaps after all maybe its just delusion.
