Whenever - Poem by Rod Morris

Whenever you see a rainbow you know somewhere there's rain.
Whenever you hear someone cry you know deep down there's pain.

Whenever you stand and gaze at stars or a moon that's silver bright.
Whenever you lay your head to sleep you know day surely follows night.

No matter what life may hand you don't mind how bad it seems.
For every frightening nightmare you have many pleasant dreams.
