What’s Left? Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

What’s Left?

List all things that you value
What sustains wellbeing…explain
Fold it in a streamline shape
Launch it like a paper airplane

Recall the importance of numbers
As the essence of comfort departs
Realizing that an empty hand
Does not equate to an empty heart

An assessment of genuine worth
Is reviewed and proclaimed
What is left in the balance?
Love and hope remain…
