As the world is smaller today
We all mix together travelling at our say
Especially us of the newer countries
When people came to start new stories
My family came from Ireland in the famines
And from Germany as Protestant men
Then some others were Portuguese fishermen
Finally, There were English on the HMS Buffalo men
So mixed up together I am
To make a modern Australian.
