What She Does Everyday Poem by Muthia Huda

What She Does Everyday

She's there standing

Waiting for the stars to blink

The air to burn

The moon to wink

Life has been hard to her

It rips her heart apart

It tears her soul apart

It pushes her off the cliff

Let her fall

And

fall in a slow motion

that will never stop

To her,

Life is a pain

Love is misery

To smile is to die

But to live is to be tough.

Her heart beat fast

When she hears it

His name

His name

His name

But her soul shutters as her body freezes

She goes through her days

like she goes through a tunnel

It's always dark

but she always tries to find her way through

She will never try

to look back

She always believes

that God will always provide much light

for her to walk and to get through it

Even though she never misses a teardrop on her

Way
Way
way

Inhale some air

Close your eyes

Feel a second of some peace

Exhale

Face the hell

That's what she does everyday
