What Silence Said Poem by Julia Fehrenbacher

What Silence Said

This is what silence said to me today:

Trust what you can't see. Move forward
despite the wobbly groundlessness
of I don't know.  Breathe, love, create, show up
as you are, everyday—no matter what. Go
to where wild irises grow. Say thank you
for all of it—weeds
cracks, sunbeams, that hand on your shoulder—
the forever throb of ache

it's all
a doorway—a hand leading you back
to grace.

Hold Out Your Hand was shared on the Life in Progress blog on FB (which is how I begin each day!) and it warmed my heart and made me smile and I wanted to share it with everyone that I knew. So, my search began! ! I am off to the library to find more! ! Or to a bookstore to have my very own copy of her books. Thank you for making me smile.
