What Suno Spits Out Poem by Edith Niemeyer

What Suno Spits Out

What Suno Spits Out

Penned by Edith Lynn Niemeyer

[Spoken Intro]

I gave it a little heartache,
a Wandering Quill…
and several perfectly clear instructions.

Then I pressed Create.

Well…

[Verse 1]

I gave Suno sorrow,
said, "Sing it low and slow."
It added three sopranos
and a banjo—wouldn't you know!

I asked for one lone singer,
one voice without a doubt—
It formed a fifty-member choir…

That's what Suno spits out!

[Pre-Chorus]

I gave it all my verbiage,
punctuation placed just right.
It swallowed every whispered word
and wrestled through the night.

It stirred my past and future
with a melody thrown in—
Then turned the whole thing inside out
and made me try again!

[Chorus]

Let's release—release—release it!
Let the Wandering Quill run free!
It may not sing precisely
what the writ intended it to be.

We'll shake our heads and listen,
then laugh, revise, and shout:

"I wonder what it swallowed—
and what will Suno spit out? "

[Verse 2]

I asked for dark and haunting,
with a tragic metal sound.
It gave me happy handclaps
and a circus dancing round.

I wrote, "No duet vocals—
one character throughout."
A man, two girls, and Grandpa joined…

That's what Suno spits out!

I said, "Now hold the ending;
let the final echo ache."
It stopped before the chorus
and called that a creative break!

[Pre-Chorus]

But sometimes from the chaos,
from instructions gone astray,
It finds a note I never knew
my hidden heart could play.

It takes the words I carried
through the silence and the doubt—
And gives them wings I didn't know
were waiting to come out.

[Chorus]

So release—release—release it!
Let the years come rushing free!
The song may wander sideways
before it finds its destiny.

We'll listen, save, and download
what we cannot live without—
Then feed the Quill another writ
and see what Suno spits out!

[Bridge — playful spoken rhythm]

Version one—too cheerful.
Version two—too fast.
Version three forgot the words
I needed most to last.

Version four grew bagpipes.
Version five just screamed.
Version six came walking in
and sounded like I dreamed.

I stared upon the screen and said:

"Well…where did THAT come from? "

The Wandering Quill just winked at me—

"Thinking past the bar…none."

[Musical Break]

Spit it out…
Turn it round…
Lose the words…
Then find the sound…

Reverbage…
Verbiage…
Inside…out…

Suno, what are you doing now?

[Final Chorus]

Let's release—release—release it!
Let no hidden word remain.
Let every year of silence
find its music through the pain.

It may fracture all the rhythm.
It may turn the tune about.
But sometimes unexpected truth
is what Suno spits out.

So release—release—release it!
Let the Wandering Quill decide.
Every song begins as something
we have carried deep inside.

Save the jewels, lose the strange ones,
keep what sets the soul aflame—
Then press Create another time
and start the dance again!

[Outro — spoken]

I gave it sorrow…
It gave me a banjo.

I asked for solitude…
It invited the neighborhood.

But somewhere in the madness,
it found my song.

Download that one.

[Softly sung]

Release…
release…
release…

Let's see what Suno
spits out.
