What the World needs Now
The world is old, its time is ripe,
Too long we've seen the bitter stripe
Of hunger, fear, and endless fight,
Stealing away the precious light.
We've heard the thunder, seen the flash,
Of weapons built for final crash.
But what we fear, the deepest dread,
Is not the tools, but hearts instead.
It's pride that blinds, it's hate that burns,
The foolish way the power turns.
The ones who hold the keys of might,
Who walk in darkness, not in light.
No, stronger bombs will never mend.
No greater threats, we must transcend.
What this old earth cries out to hear,
Is kindness whispered, soft and clear.
A gentle hand, a thoughtful word,
A leader's promise, truly heard.
To value lives, each precious soul,
And make the broken planet whole.
