What Would I Do Different? Poem by Tess Rockenstire

What Would I Do Different?

Rating: 5.0

What Would I do Different?
What I would do different if I know this is my last in this earth?
Will I pray more and read the Holy Book?
And meditate on it day and night?
Or shall I ride the wave and count the stars above.

Will I love more and complain less?
Or shall I listen more and talk less?
And give more of myself, and offer help?
Will I humble myself and let pride escape?

Will I acquire more earthly wealth?
To leave for my love ones who count on me?
Or shall I share the gift of life to them?
And will I regret the entire past mistake?

Will I let the time pass me by or not hesitate?
And travel more where this feet takes me -
To all the ends of the earth;
Will I speak love or hate?

Nevertheless Will I accept my fate?
This is it God gives life –
Either you are rich or poor –
We have a choice to make – to heaven or abyss?

This is one agonizing.......perhaps.....immobilizing thought!
