What Would You See In Coming Years? Poem by Solomon Ayomide

What Would You See In Coming Years?

Rating: 4.0

Dear lovely child of mine
Enjoying your prime in your time
Can you permit me to ask just this?
Just this from you and nothing else
What would you see in coming years?
What did you desire to see after now?
Is it your same old toys in the racket?
Or your football rolling and bouncing back there?
Wandering the neighborhood in solemn pleasure?
No, of course not dear one
What awaits you in coming years is very deep
It presence changes your view of time being
And that is REALITY!

Let reality dawn in your moving path
Let it direct your step and time
Time of dally is long past far ago
Reality calls to you from afar
'Time ticks in it broad circle '
Unfriending those who moves against it bids
Give your priorities to the right choice
For what you would see in coming years will differ
For no one knows the time nor season
Plant when the land rejoice for abundant moist
Gather your hays as long as the sun smile
Look in depth and figure who you are
Make a change with what you do
Not with what the time say
For no one dictates for the coming years

Grumble not for what I say
Neither despise that which I know
Store them in the barn of your heart
Default the future into your beginning
Live your youthful season as you desire
Gather the treasure you could acquire
But keep in your tender growing mind
What would you see in coming years?
