To My Unborn Child Poem by Solomon Ayomide

To My Unborn Child

Rating: 4.0

To you oh my unborn child,
How I so wish that I would never bring you forth to earth,
To face the peril, disaster and trouble of this troubled world,
That which would be strange for your innocent soul,
But of course, come you will!
But that shouldn't frighten nor make you worried
For I may not promise you fame nor riches,
But I would strive to make your stay on planet earth worthwhile,
Weave for you wings befitting of a hero 💪
Never to see you go void and deterred.
I promise to raise you up in the Godly way
That which is befitting for your gentle soul,
Stay with you in winter and summer
Ready to be a shield for you in disaster
And give you a super-woman worth called 'your mummy'
Who is dedicated to your being and well-fare
Supporting you emotionally, financially and academically
Never to see you abused nor exploited
And give you a life brighter than the Sun's ray
More I wish to say and give you my dear unborn child
But deep down I treasure for you healthy wishes and ambition.

To you my dear unborn child,
These might be crazy vow from a young boy of 19,
Who has zero knowledge of what is proper parenting,
But nevertheless, never 'see' my dream for you as empty,
For I'm prepared to fend for your happiness and make you mighty,
When the right time come knocking! !
