What You Have Done Poem by Valarie Paterson

What You Have Done

The memory of you
Still embeded in my mind
Along with the unforgiving pain
Which follows me everywhere

Everything reminds me of you
In both good and bad ways
I miss your smile
And the confidence you handed me
But I can't stand
The pain you caused

You cheated
You used
You lied
And all I did was cry and cry
You made me worthless
In yours and mine
Our eyes

You gave me hope and confidence
But just as quickly
You snatched it away
Leaving me with only negativity

So THANK YOU
For all of it
I won't ever forget
What you have done

P.S. I WON'T (and DON'T) miss you
