Whatever Happened To Depth?
Heroism cast aside,
He didn't fit the mold
Baking, getting a tan,
But not very warm inside
Whatever happened to depth,
Was it due to staring at the shallow pool,
Or running away from the waves as they crested?
The wave broke for him long ago,
It said 'goodbye' to this washout
His frivolities were folly,
So no need to explain his melancholy
Stood pat, so no pat on the back
He's a letdown, that's all
