Whatever You Are Poem by Geraldine Fernandez

Whatever You Are

Whatever opinion or stand you have in this world
Mature or callow, noble or bold
Even if you’re only a kid testing your wing
You belong to one family created by one Being.

Whatever kind of gem you proudly own
Sapphires, topaz, diamond or opal
No matter how famous or rich you’ve grown
Your one mission is to have peace for all.

Whatever season you truly enjoy
May it be summer, winter or fall
Only one thing can bring you joy
To heed our God Almighty’s call.

Whatever your job or your position
A lawyer, a clerk or a ruler of nation
You are bound by the same vision
To live with love and sense of obligation.

Whatever wealth or power you can cling
Whatever way or direction you’re heading
Only one thing can really please our King
It’s the love to our brothers we can bring.
