When A Hug, Becomes A Kiss Poem by Samantha Rose Turner

When A Hug, Becomes A Kiss

You held my hand, like it was a rose petal,
Holding it gently so it wouldn’t crumble,
You wrapped your arms around my waist,
Pulling me close to your body.

It’s the same each day, a hug,
To help carry me through the day,
Making everything somewhat okay.

You raised your hand up to my neck,
Tilting my head to look you in the eye,
Making my breathing seem quiet and shy,
Making my heart beat faster.

Your lips gracefully pass over mine,
As if you’ve done this a thousand times,
Its like the first time we met,
Making the world stop turning once again.

It was the kiss that broke my heart in 2,
Leaving nothing but my love for you.
This love is true and don’t you forget it,
Because that’s the day our hug became a kiss.
