When Autumn's Reign Is Almost Through... Poem by Mohammad Younus

When Autumn's Reign Is Almost Through...

When autumn's reign is almost through...
...beneath the heaps of withered leaves...
...a secret stirs:
Winter's harsh chilling breath, the world dreads!

Blossoms blush and fall to the ground...
...in deadly weak light;
Going to sleep in hibernation...
...in long winter's day and night;
Green foliage to disappear
Trees to stand bare and dead!
Heralding the start of biting winter season!

Birds' melancholic songs to fill the morning air...
...with their prayers for the spring season...
...to view nature's symphony, beyond compare;
When rivers once again...
...chuckle, bubbling and singing!
To the rhythm of life, newly beginning!

When the spring sun shines brighter...
...and glows with gentle heat...
...to melt down the glaciers
of age-old snows;
Each new dawn, a fresher cool breez!
As the world awakens from...
...the nightmares of harsh and cold winter!

Bees will hum, and butterflies wing...
...in the magical dance of spring;
A time of birth, of hope of happy life!
Welcome to the beginning of life once again!
