When Covid19 Visted Poem by Bamukunda Hillary

When Covid19 Visted

.
Countries were at their knees
Economies lost their keys
And the corrupt couldn't pay any fees
Since everyone was in a squeeze
The world was at a tease
Hoping for a rear release
.
Fear was at its most
Lives were lost
Humanity was at a taste
Health sytems were on a test
.
In broadday light, lives brokedown,
We went in a worldwide lockdown
It was a popularquarateen
With out any open canteen
.
''Wash your hands, sanitize
Stay at home, social distance
Don't touch your face'' that was our song
Every society wascaught in a fog
There was no day for every dog
We were barred from bars
Churches, mosques and shrines were forgotten
Airports were for birds and cargo
A pedestrian was a king only at his home
When Covid 19 visited
The whole world caught fire.
