When Did We Stop Laughing Poem by Janet Nesler

When Did We Stop Laughing

Rating: 2.0

I haven’t thrown a Frisbee since you left...
Laughed in the rain
Splashed puddles
Or had water
from rain-soaked trees
shook down my back.
I haven’t swapped stories about
Catching lightening bugs,
Living in a blue house
Or had anyone listen
How much it hurts to love someone
who doesn’t love back.
I haven’t looked in an empty swimming pool
Eaten pizza in a parking lot
Or listened to a full symphony.

No one has pushed me up hills,
Or given me a present
Just because...

I haven't thrown a Frisbee since you left...
