When Emotions Start To Wobble Poem by Sebastian Melmoth

When Emotions Start To Wobble

When you need help where do you go? Who is your point of call?
When you help others, who helps you?
Who is your rock when the emotions start to wobble?

Sadness the tears of rain pour down a sad lonely isolated face
The reflection of the soul's sorrow
Well-hidden as if something treasured, yet something you wish can go tomorrow.

Moving forward slowly each step feels as if the shoes are made of concrete.
Questions, Questions, head full of worry, despair unable to share to let go.
Wanting, waiting to be scooped up, taken care off and shown the way out of this dark place.

Fighting the demons, this tiresome battle between sanity and insanity
No control over who will win, who will emerge victorious towards the light or the downfall of my being
Needing the energy to survive, for change is hard with hope to keep believing.

Loosing self-care, deeper and deeper into the rabbit hole, falling, spinning out of control
Somebody's statistic, trapped in the impossible mental health care maze
Where's the exit, a panic attack trying to franticly dig your way with minds imaginary shovel.

Can my heart be truly mended? Can I feel like me again? When will the calm waters wash over me once more?
Blinded lost in a world unrecognisable to the one I lived in before
Why can't I just be free and let my spirit sore.

Ticking all the boxes, getting no were, why is it so hard, the hurt in this trail of harm
When all is done, they will look back and say what more could we have done
Clock now ticking for I have seen my final resting place but until then I don't know if peace will come, and when the road back begins.
