When I Am Reborn Which Face Will I Have? Poem by Shalom Freedman

When I Am Reborn Which Face Will I Have?

When I am reborn which face will I have?
So many faces so much time
So many pictures at different ages and stages of life
Now my face is not the one I want
Now I look as I never thought to be
The years have unfolded so many different faces
And I am now with one I do not want
An old face a scraggly bearded face
I cannot know and truly remember all the faces
I have had
But most were better than the one I have now
And the one I will die with.
