When I Count My Blessings (Sonnet #37) Poem by Tina Baaklini

When I Count My Blessings (Sonnet #37)

When my heart dreams, it dreams of you, O love
When my soul longs, she longs for you, O soulmate
With you I want to be, here and above
When you touch my heart, it illuminates

Some dreams take eons to fulfill for real
Only because they belong to the soul
Alive they remain, they're all the soul feels
For love is the most worthwhile and dear goal

But our love is not just a goal — it's life
A gift from fate as rainbows after rains
A path of glee where the sun never dies
A love symphony that echoes our names

When I count my blessings, you're everywhere
You're the endless love to which nothing compares
