When I Found You… Poem by Pushp Sirohi

When I Found You…

When I found you,
a lamp began to glow
in the empty courtyard of my heart—
slowly… softly…
like the first drop of rain
touching summer's burning dust.

I was walking—
without meaning,
on tired roads
with tired dreams.
Then you arrived,
and suddenly
songs returned to my feet.

Your laughter became
morning sunlight for me,
and your silence—
the deep shade of evening.

The moment I saw you
I understood something new—
love is not a word,
love is a faith
that quietly keeps beating
inside the chest.

I had made deals with life
so many times…
but after meeting you,
for the first time
I chose
to stand with my own heart.

When you are near,
the world feels simple.
When you are far,
every happiness
feels like a guest
who won't stay long.

I love you so much
that even fear
has started feeling beautiful—
because in that fear too
your name
keeps breathing.

And listen…
I won't promise you
moon and stars,
I will simply write
every morning I own
in your name.

For you,
even my hardness melts.
For you,
even my tiredness learns to walk again.

When I found you,
life found its meaning—
otherwise I was only
carrying breaths
like a burden.

Now I ask only this from fate:
Stay…
and let me become new
beside you—
every day.
