When I Go Down My Memory Lane Poem by Mohammad Younus

When I Go Down My Memory Lane

When I go down my memory lane,
It is a pleasant moment to see again,
Old friends and old enemies,
Old places and old territories,
Roads and lanes that I walked through,
Empty and abandoned now,
Pages that i wrote nobody now to read,
Sunshine was ever too bright in my land,
Stars were wonderful in those wondrous days,
I had deep love, beyond emotions,
And forever we will be lovers,
We had vowed to each other,
We prayed to bloom like flowers,
In the garden of eden,
Just as in a legendary poem of love,
Our love affair is true and immortal,
Why it should end? I am not a liar or a pretender,
You'll be my love forever;
We'll never forget each other
You will ever be in my garden like a flower,
My favourite flower!
Excuse me I am screaming louder,
But rest assured, nobody hears me screaming
Nobody listens to me, as nobody listened then
But, you are listening to me, I'm happy to see you.
Do you agree with me? You will always be with me,
But in my memories!
