When I Hear You Talk Of Losers Poem by Francis Duggan

When I Hear You Talk Of Losers

When I hear you talk of losers you I do not wish to hear
For you do sound quite judgemental and to me it would appear
That you've got that small man's complex though you stand over two metres in your shoes
And you keep on talking more rubbish after every dropp of booze.

When I hear you talk of losers you I do not wish to be around
For one cannot find enlightenment where only ignorance abound
To live and to let live are words of wisdom I recall
And they do seem to go nicely with a fair go for all.

When I hear you talk of losers I say I must be on my way
You are talking utter rubbish and I do not agree with what you say
You are belittling poor people who live in poverty,
I find your words quite offensive a slur on humanity.

When I hear you talk of losers I say that you and I
On such a delicate matter cannot see eye to eye
For I find the word loser quite offensive when to poor people it apply
So I'll see you when you're sober and now I'll bid you a goodbye.
