This is the first poem i have ever written...I serve in the Army at the age of 18...i know that war is in the future for me leaving myself to ask questions i hope you like it and please remember this is my first poem

When I leave....
will you remember my name?

When I leave....
will things remain the same?

When I leave....
will she still love me, or will she love another?

When I leave....
will you remember why i fight?

When I leave....
will you remember to write?

If I die....
will you remember my name?

If I die....
will you remember what i died for?

If I die....
will i live in your memories?

When I return....
will things be the same?

When I return....
will she be waiting for me?

When I return....
will you remember what i sacrificed?
