When I'Ll Fly Poem by Amit Mathur

When I'Ll Fly

i do remember the look in her face
it was a frown it was a scowl
as if i don't even exist at all
as if i am just a billowing smoke in otherwise clear sky
i am an howling bird with his crippled wings
beleaguered, exhausted and disarmed
i stay calm and wait for my wings to grow again
what will happen when i'll fly
i 'll be up above soaring in the sky
will you then leave your bitterness aside?
will you beckon me then?
i am a solitary bird and will fall from the sky
i am a simpleton, not having any sly
will you remember me then?
what will happen when i'll fly?
