When I'll Tell You: "Goodbye! " Poem by IRMA KURTI

When I'll Tell You: "Goodbye! "

The day when I'll tell you: "Goodbye"
and I will leave forever this world,
wet from tears of sadness and despair
I will shout loudly until I have a voice.

Oh, surely my cries will disturb you,
one will speed up the steps annoyed,
an anonymous person will call 112
for someone disturbing public order.

You didn't appreciate me even in life,
try at least for a second to do it now.
The darkness has always scared me,
I don't want to leave the sun's light.

I am going to miss the morning rain
when on the balcony it slowly beats,
I will miss even my disappointments,
the joys and the pursuit of happiness.

When my voice gets lower and you
will not listen any more to my yells,
don't misunderstand, it doesn't mean
I have come to terms with death.

I have distinguished as in a dense fog
my mother greeting me with her hand,
pale and weary of waiting for so long,
inviting me to sit on an empty bench.

I will enter her embrace, I will lean,
as I did in life, against her chest.
My calls gradually will be mitigated,
will become gasps, then I'll go away.
