When I Look At You Poem by Coco Albin

When I Look At You

Rating: 5.0

Your warm lips whisper and smile
The key to my lonesome days
Your blue eyes like gentle waves
Bring affection to my heartless dismay
Your strawberry scented perfume
Frees me from my cocoon
Your voice, oh your voice
My lullaby, my dream, and my reason to awaken

It’s too bad my sealed lips will never unzip
It’s too bad I can never gaze into your lustrous blue eyes
It’s too bad I will never sense your warm touch

When I look at you, it’s spectacular,
too bad.

I found it charming - the thought... of a voice which puts one to sleep, but is the reason to wake up every morning! Funny and then a touching ending! -chuck
