When I'M Gone Carry On Poem by Joan Castle

When I'M Gone Carry On

Facing one's mortality

Is simply life's reality

Please don't shed a bucket of tears

Knowing I left you without any fears

Think of the good times without any pain

Like walking in puddles and dancing in the rain

For me there will be a much better place

You will still be part of this so called rat-race

When the time has come and it is finally over

I will be dancing and singing in fields of clover

When you look to the heavens and see the sky

I'll be the brightest star that will catch your eye

I'll twinkle and shine when I'm out there in space

Just know in your heart that it's our secret embrace

I'll twinkle and shine when I'm out there in space

Just know in your heart that it's our secret embrace
