When I Miss You Poem by Shelley Jones

When I Miss You

When I miss you, I take a walk.
I stroke the petals of all the flowers
Then pluck one to walk with me,
Caressing it as your skin.

As I walk, if tears begin to flow
I hug a tree, literally (I know, this sounds crazy)
And wrap its soft branches around me,
As your arms.

I did this to day and before long,
The sun came out and smiled.
The sky looked bluer, the grass greener;
So happier, I went back inside.
