When I Was Old - Poem by M. Ashaq Raza

Those were the days
When I was old, when I was gold
Only eating and drinking
Only playing and sleeping
No politics, no religion
No America, no Taleban
Those were the days
When I was old, when I was gold
Those roofs, those kites
Those friends those fights
A noise in the silence
A peace in the violence
Those were the days
When I was old, when I was gold
Very little, very small
You, made me all
I remember, but all
I was big, I was tall
Those were the days
When I was 4-OLD,
Then I was pure gold
