When Insecurities March In Poem by Abigail Adediji

When Insecurities March In

Rating: 5.0

We all have those days,
When insecurities march in,
When we feel beneath the world.
I know I have those days,
Almost everyday I feel valueless.
I Spend every night feeling worthless.
I never felt gifted nor creditable.
Never once felt honourable or esteemed.
When I looked in the mirror
Every time I saw me I ached.
Looking at you. Looking at me,
Feeling sore, hurt and bruised.
But today I decided to close it.
Close the door of insecurities.
The door of hurting, and doubt.
The door of indecision low esteem.
Today I choose to feel beautiful,
Today I choose to feel enticing,
Today I choose to be blissful.
I choose to walk on the stars.
I choose to walk on air.
I choose not to let them,
Not to let doubts get to me.
