The night is done,
The couple wed,
The hymns are sung,
The prayers are said,
A kiss for all,
A tear to shed,
And now the feast is over.
Alone again,
I count the cars
As they depart,
And watch the stars,
But still within
Remain the scars
When all of this is over.

Great poem, with a beautiful flow to it. A great write.
