When Love Comes Knocking Poem by Steve Ricketts

When Love Comes Knocking

When love comes a calling, you better be there, for when love comes a calling it never calls twice. For love is so fragile and so easily scared. So please, handle this love with such special care, it's not that it's vain because that wouldn't be fair. No love is so gentle, fragile and kind. You have to treat it like one of a kind, nurture it gentle and see how it grows, all ways be careful, that love always knows, loves always wanted and that your heart is it's home.

Once love is settled never forget, this love you look after can never be owned, don't take for granted, this rare precious thing, hold it so gentle and tell it you care, show love your feelings and you'll never despair. Then love will have found it's permanent place. You'll be so grateful that when love came a calling, you were at home.
