When Love Fades And Tolerance Takes Over. Poem by Lehlogonolo Phora

When Love Fades And Tolerance Takes Over.

I feel the fear of
loosing love, what a
great burden i carry everyday.
i know love is gone
but the fear of seeing
her in another man's
arms has fooled me into
believing that i love her.

I do not love her anymore,
but tolerance has kept me going.
I could put an end to the
relationship, but it
would be some kind of a
suicide plan for me because i would
bleed internally from the cuts
of seeing her with someone else.

Love always comes to a dead end,
but tolerance always takes over.
sometimes questions would pop up about
how my grand parents have been together for over
30 years but i can't stay
in a relationship for more than five years.

If i were to choose my way
Tolerance would be the biggest best
choice i would have done for myself.
Love is cruel and a coward.
