WHEN LOVE I CHOOSE
(Sonnet #4)
When love I choose, I choose your heart, sweet love
Where peace I found, where love divine abounds
We share a shrine, a temple, an alcove
We share a heartbeat, deep inside resounds
The hand of fate did halve our souls, once one
And though apart, away, you dwell inside
The world is naught, you are my only sun
You lit my life, to you my heart confides
In stormy sea, the waves are full of rage
The rain, the fog, the wind of us do mock
The ship we row against the tides enraged
As love prevails... to shore we safely dock
The wind of love can blow from east to west
The breeze of love engulfs us in its nest
