When My All Isn't Enough Poem by Long Tooth

When My All Isn't Enough

When My All Isn't Enough

There are days when it seems 'my all' isn't enough,
It's in moments like this that life feels kind of tough,
When the 'all that I am' is the 'all that there is, '
And my dreams notwithstanding, the rest is 'Show Biz! '

It's a moment when resources all seem to fail,
When the card that I've drawn tells me "Go Straight to Jail! "
Know I've taken a hit for my credit's declined,
But is gravity 'up' now or 'down' redefined?

When I feel topsy-turvy, the world on its head,
And I'm hoping to God that I'm still in my in bed,
In a heartbeat, it comes to mind; Love is still there,
And by Grace world is saved by our faith that You care!
