When My Pens Run Out Of Ink Poem by Edzel Frince Bual

When My Pens Run Out Of Ink

there are times when
my pens run out of ink
and I don't have refills.
that's when I feel the guilt.
that's when I feel like
I shouldn't have left some of them—
unused—to dry.
that's when I feel like
I've always held them hostages
in what I write.
yes, I can buy.
I can just buy another set.
but why do I feel this regret?
